In order to assist our customers in further gaining competitive advantage, SPS has created SPS|Academy. SPS|Academy is a global leader in supporting research and providing education and training in knowledge to improve the delivery and management of capital assets.
A key element of SPS|Academy is our ongoing training & education program where capability development is created for our customers in the areas of project definition, design management, site operations and logistics management, supply chain management and organizational development. Education & training sessions are held at various locations including SPS offices and in-house customer facilities.
In addition to internal research and development efforts, SPS also sponsors research at UC Berkeley's Project & Production System Laboratory (P2SL) and at Stanford's Center for Integrated Facility Engineering (CIFE). Through our sponsorship of research, new ideas are being developed to better define, deliver and operate mission critical capital assets such as civil infrastructure, industrial facilities, general building and defense assets. SPS also supports academic involvement in several areas including providing student internships, and sponsoring joint research amongst other activities.
